This Decoding Duo manual is meant to accompany Dandelion Readers Level 1 Vowel Spellings (published by PhonicBooks). These structured literacy routines support the development of literacy skills through a set of 11 different instructional activities that align with each book from the series.

Activities build a range of skills that contribute to reading accuracy and fluency by developing critical phonemic awareness, phonics, sight word recognition, morphology, phrasing and spelling skills. Content also includes activities that enhance students’ vocabulary knowledge and sentence and passage level comprehension.

Accompanying scripts provide instructional support, and each lesson can be differentiated depending on student need.
